At the beginning, each traveler will receive a copy of the book Medellín up close and a pen or pencil and, with book in hand, will explore the city and listen to the stories that allow them to understand its history and present day, in cultural, economic and other terms.

Along the way, you will write your own notes on the blank pages at the back of the book. As a final result, you will have a diary of your trip to Medellín inside a collector’s book, which will be a valuable souvenir for a lifetime.

This tour must be done in a vehicle, as you will visit different sites that are separated by several kilometers. You will have the opportunity to walk through the places where stops are made.

Itinerary

– Pick up at your place of preference (hotel, lodging, any other, within the urban area).
– Market square: mingle among the inhabitants and observe closely their attitudes, behaviors, ways of speaking… feel the unique smells of vegetables, food, meat and fish of the region.
– Plaza Botero: walk among the sculptures created by world-renowned artist Fernando Botero, a native of Medellín and a leading figure in international art.
– Places and objects of faith: take a look at the places and objects that account for the most traditional and popular beliefs.
– Edificio Coltejer and Pasaje Peatonal de Junín: get to know the city’s flagship building and walk through one of the most typical and authentic streets; feel the scent of Medellín’s flowers and mingle with its inhabitants.
– Fruits: delight yourself with the variety of tropical fruits available in the city (expenses incurred in this activity are not covered in the tour rate).
– Works of art: learn about the history and customs of Medellín and Antioquia, through works of traditional art by the most acclaimed painters and sculptors of the region.
– Metro and Metrocable: travels through the city in its public transportation system, internationally recognized for its quality and social sense.
– Lunch time: we recommend different food options and you choose the one you consider best (expenses incurred in this activity are not covered in the tour rate).
– Explora Park and Botanical Garden: fundamental places in the city’s transformation process. Contemplate and enjoy the vegetation of the region, inside a forest in the middle of the city.
– Pueblito Paisa: walk through the square and streets of a typical Antioquian village and enjoy a panoramic view of the valley in which the city sits.
– Local handicrafts of Medellín, Antioquia and Colombia: visit some handicraft stores selected by Medellín de Cerca (expenses incurred in this activity are not covered in the tour fee).
– We will drop you off at the place you indicate (hotel, lodging, any other, within the urban area).

• 1 to 2 persons: COP $ 545.000
• 3 to 4 persons: COP $ 655.000
• 5 to 6 persons: COP $ 1.225.000
• 7 to 9 persons: COP $ 1.490.000
• 10 to 15 people: COP $ 1.905.000

Example: if the rate for 1 to 2 people was COP $10, then if the tour was done by one user, he/she would pay COP $10. If two users were to attend, they would also pay COP $ 10 in total (equivalent to COP $ 5 per person).
