This version corresponds to the more traditional tour about Pablo Escobar. You will visit some of the places that marked his life, learn the main anecdotes and historical moments and understand the narco phenomenon.

This tour must be done in a vehicle, as it visits different parts of the city that are separated by several kilometers. You will have the opportunity to walk through the places where stops are made.

Note: if the user takes the extended version of the tour (which explores Escobar’s early days in the world of crime) or adds the visit to the Pablo Escobar Museum, the tour will last approximately two hours longer.

Itinerary

– Parque de la Inflexión: former Monaco Building, main residence of Pablo Escobar and his family. This was his home. Today, it is a place to commemorate the mortal victims of Escobar’s criminal actions.

– Pablo Escobar’s neighborhood: you will tour the sector of Envigado where Escobar lived during his youth, the site of the family home where he grew up with his brothers, where his future wife lived and the works he helped build in the sector.

– Museum of Memory: public museum with exhibits and stories of the victims of the Medellín Cartel. It does not operate on Mondays (or Tuesdays, if Monday was a holiday). If it is closed, events attributed to Escobar will be recreated in the surrounding area.

– Place of his death: house where the kingpin was cornered and killed.

– Tomb: you will observe Escobar’s burial place, which receives numerous visitors, offerings and talismans at different times of the year.

Optional stops (at additional cost)

– Extended version of the tour: added tours through places that were decisive in the beginnings of Pablo Escobar in crime, while addressing this passage of history. Approximate duration: 2 hours.

– Escobar’s former private prison: we provide an explanatory tour during the access and stay in this site full of history. Our rates do not include entrance tickets; these are paid by the user directly at the site’s ticket office. Entrance fees (per person): COP 10.000 for Colombian visitors; COP 30.000 for foreign visitors. Approximate duration: 2 hours.

– Transportation and accompaniment to visit the Pablo Escobar Museum: a place with objects once owned by Escobar. Our rates do not include admission tickets to the museum; these are paid by the user directly at the museum’s ticket office. The entrance fee to the museum is COP 120,000 per person.
Approximate duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes.
